Language classes at SCC C&CE include Spanish, ESL (English as a Second Language) and ASL (American Sign Language). With the high level of foreign investment and many immigrants in the upstate, as well as the growing importance of international business, knowledge of languages is a critical skill.
Along with the standard Spanish classes (Levels 1-5) , taught by native Speaker, Manuel Herreras, you can also study practical approach for learn today—use tomorrow skills:
- Conversational Spanish for Teachers
- Spanish for Retail Sales
- Street Spanish
- Spanish for Home-Schoolers(Ages 13-18)
- Spanish for International Business Professionals
In addition to Spanish, you can learn to sign with the hearing impaired with ASL. ASL is the third most commonly used language in the US.
