Pre-registration for summer classes is at record highs this year. While each of the last three years has shown growth in registration, this year shows a 65% increase in registrations.
On the graph above, there is a spike during open enrollment the week before the class starts, and then a drop when the people who have registered but not paid for classes are taken off the lists. As you can see, the pre-spike registration is already higher than the spike last year.
Why is this? Smart students!
Spartanburg Community College offers excellent value both for general education classes that transfer to local universities and for job training courses. The Education Lottery Tuition goes farther at SCC.
SCC has an open door policy that takes students where they are, even if they need a bit of refreshing in math, science or writing to be successful. The Advising Center, the Learning Center and Success Network are all available for traditional students as well as folks who are ready to change careers or move up in their current careers.
