About

Corporate & Community Education at Spartanburg Community College has a  mission to help Upstate South Carolina to grow economically through continuing education. We help individuals train for the high tech jobs that they want, and to help businesses stay competitive in the world market by developing their workforce. We also provide space for testing and developing new manufacturing processes as well as pre-employment training and screening of prospective associates. Professionals can also earn continuing education units or prepare for certification exams.

 

The College seeks out partners from all sectors–business, organizations, government and other educational institutions to make unique opportunities available for our service area. We want to put the talents, skills and ingenuity of the Upstate to work for our service area: Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union counties.

The Apprenticeship Team

CCE has been awarded seven grants this year totalling $1.7 million dollars for new facilities and contract training programs that will make the SC Upstate more attractive to new industry and provide a better quality of life for all citizens. As a member of the Upstate Alliance Technical Training, C&CE at SCC is always writing proposals for grant money for training partners.

We offer assistance with Incumbent Worker Grants and Enterprise Zone Incentives as well.
