SCC Corporate & Community Education’s EMT-Basic instructor, Ray Harling, was the recipient of the 2010 Paramedic of the Year award at the SC EMS Symposium at Myrtle Beach, SC.
Ray, an employee of Spartanburg Regional Medical Center Transportation Division, has been in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for over 20 years. Ray teaches CPR, EMT and paramedic skills. It is evident that he is devoted to his profession and truly cares about how EMS is perceived by patients and the community. Ray works to instill a caring atitude in his students and believes in teaching by example. He always says, “If attitude is contagious, then what can spread better than a smile?”
This is a very deserving award for Ray. Congratulations, Ray!
