SCC Corporate & Community Education can help you get the skills you need to become a Personal Fitness Trainer. You can learn more about the Personal Fitness Trainer Certification by attending a Free Orientation to Personal Fitness Training.

This FREE 1-hour Personal Fitness Training Orientation is designed to provide information for anyone interested in the fitness profession or in becoming a fitness trainer. This lecture includes a brief overview of the industry and professional trends while allowing time for questions.

The Personal Fitness Trainer Certification curriculum, which was designed by World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S), provides training to work at fitness centers, health clubs or to serve as trainers for fitness classes. Personal fitness trainers work with clients to demonstrate various exercises and improve exercise techniques by providing motivation and support.

Quality/Six Sigma –  Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of errors and minimizing variability in your manufacturing and business processes.

Six Sigma Green Belt – This ten day class will cover the core-concepts of Green Belt tools, participants will apply the methodology to a small scale project and class exercises. $3,000 plus $150 materials fee.

Six Sigma Black Belt – This four-week class is designed to develop understanding of the core concepts, tools and processes.  $6,000 plus $150 materials fee.

A Water/Wastewater Conference will be held at Spartanburg Community College on July 28, 2011 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm in the Tracy Gaines Auditorium. Admission is free. Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the conference sponsors.

Water/wastewater operators are required to have 12 contact hours of training/conference time every two years. This conference will provide 6 or those 12 hours.
