Emergency Medical Technician starting January 8, 2013 – Learn the exciting career of an Emergency Medical Technician in this SC DHEC approved online program. EMTs serve as a vital link in the chain of the health care team. This SC DHEC approved course is designed to instruct students to the level of the South Carolina Emergency Medical Technician. This 204 hour hybrid course (online learning and hands-on lab practices) includes all the skills necessary for students to provide emergency medical care under the SC DHEC guidelines.

Nursing Assistant (CNA) starting January 14, 2013 – The foundation of all nursing care starts with the nurse assistant. This multi-skilled Nursing Assistant Monitor Technician training allows for more employment possibilities in hospitals, specifically as a Cardiac Monitor Technician. This multi-skilled course Nursing Assistant/ Monitor Technician training allows for more employment possibilities in hospitals, specifically as a Cardiac Monitor Technician. The training is based on the standards established for the South Carolina Nurse Aide curriculum.

Patient Care Technician starting January 3, 2013 – Patient Care Technician is a 386 hour bundled  program that provides students with a wide variety of training skills  that will prepare them for employment in hospitals, physician’s offices, and medical facilities. Training includes Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG Technician, Arrhythmia Monitor Technician, Medication Technician and American Heart Association Basic Life Support/CPR for Healthcare Providers.

Phlebotomy Technician 

You can become a certified phlebotomist under the national ASCP guidelines through classroom, lab and clinical experience. You will be trained to collect blood samples which enable physicians to diagnose and treat illnesses. This course will teach you how to obtain blood specimens accurately and comfortably using the proper technique, how to work well under pressure, communicate with patients, and become a vital member of the healthcare team.

Course Dates:
August 22 – October 7 at SCC Central Campus
September 26 – November 11 at SCC Central Campus

Dialysis/Phlebotomy Technician buncled program

This program combines Dialysis and Phlebotomy to prepare you for a demanding career as a Dialysis Technician. Phlebotomy is an integral part of working with dialysis patients and this program provides students with marketable skills. You can become a certified phlebotomist under ASCP guidelines. Students learn through classroom, lab and clinical experience.

Course Dates: September 26 – January 24, 2012 at SCC Central Campus
